OUR MINISTRIES

IAG Khayelitsha Assemblies have funtional ministries. The leader (Rev. S. Nkalane), have deligated many people to form groups that are serving the church and in every apsect of its life.

prayer

We have prayer meetings every tuesday at 6pm. We pray about the church, church leadership, members, other Christians, other churches, the whole IAG in South Africa, the SA president and his carbinet etc. as set out in 1 Timothy 2. Every first week of the month is a prayer week and we pray for our country and the church as a whole especially pastors.

Women/Ladies' Fellowship

Since our church is still growing, our women's ministry and ladies' fellowship have combines their meeting and ministry. This is a very equiping moment where women are helping girls to prepare for their future and to escape the danger faced with many young women through the Word of God.

sunday school

Our Sunday school consist of children between the age of 4 - 16. These children are devided according to their age groups. We desire to have an active children's ministry that reaches many children in our community. So, that we may have children with the foundation of the Lord.  - Proverbs 22:6.

youth

We live in a very big community with more or less two million young people. And yet, our youth is faced with unpredictable challenges - with suicide, drugs, gangstarism, teenage pregnancy, hiv/aids etc. robing them from incredible future. We are therefore, blessed with a dynamic youth that is actively involved and committed in impacting this community by witnessing and activities that can challenge other young people. Onke Jalamba is the youth leader of IAG Khayelitsha church since 2010. With his experience uses his skills to equip his leadership committee and works close with Richard Gebe to advance the lives of young people.

music

This ministry is lead by Richard Gebe as a music director. We believe that there is urgency to mentor and form young people in music ministry with a program that forms young people musically, spiritually and in their leadership skill. We believe that the music we sing as an expression of our faith, is both a gift from and an offering to God. We are a “called choir”, called to express God’s grace and love through song. We believe that each singer has special gift for the ministry of music. We acknowledge that these gifts and the joy of music comes from God.Our primary purpose is worship leadership which fulfill by singing excellent music. - Ephesians 5:19

community service

We desire to serve our community France, Site B and Khayelitsha as a church in order to demonstrate the love of God towards our people. - James 2:14-17. We therefore, begin by serving one another in the church and this attitude helps us to grow in love and impact our community. Through this, people are able to see the love of God in us.
